THE ABBEY OF VALLOIRES

A few kilometres from the Baie de Somme, discover a unique place.
The Cistercian abbey of Valloires was founded in Argoules in 1158. Destroyed over the centuries, it was rebuilt in the 17th and 18th centuries in a style that was in complete contradiction with Cistercian authority. Come and discover this jewel of art combining monastic simplicity with the exuberance of a Rococo universe: organ case, suspended angels, high altar, and salons with Rococo style woodwork will surprise you.

Today, it welcomes visitors to discover its history and architecture.

In one day, you can visit the abbey and the gardens, two exceptional sites.
